James Clarke, owner-operator, spent the first 35 years of his life in Ireland. He now lives in Australia and collaborates with his contacts in Ireland to design experiences not generally available to the travelling public.
ireland journeys will suit independent enquiring minds who want to see and do more in fewer places.
The ireland journeys experience is usually based on a local literary festival. The group will read and study a local author. This provides the opportunity to explore and be instructed in other aspects of the social history and culture of the area.
Extra curricular activities are added to the festival. For example a group might:
• Forage the seashore with a local expert and “cook the catch”.
• Tie their own trout flies and learn to fly fish.
• "Raid" a local vegetable garden for dinner
• Learn to bake bread in the traditional way
• Explore the cliffs and wild life of a remote island
This is not a tour. Based in two locations only, in remote North West Donegal and Belfast, no time is wasted packing and moving "camp" everyday. This is about literature, leisure, landscape, looking, listening and learning.

Intitour is a fully licensed travel agency that arranges world travel and specializes in tours to South America. It is run by life partners, Rick Sinclair and Wendy Batey who lived in Northern Chile for 10 years and owned and operated Intitour there, for 7 of those years before returning to Australia 6 years ago.
Both are fluent in Spanish and hence Intitour deals directly with tour operators in South America, therefore offering their clients the best possible prices.
While living in South America Wendy and Rick travelled extensively visiting the top tourist destinations and many out of the way places. During this time they made personal contact with the operators they use and have developed strong commercial relationships with them. Intitour organizes both group tours (maximum 16 people) led by either Wendy or Rick and personalized tours for individuals or groups.
Intitour has developed a supportive relationship with a village called Chalhuanca. This village is at 4,300m. in the Peruvian Andes and is well off the tourist trail. Wendy’s groups have taken school and medical supplies to the village, bought with donations made by our clients and others.

James Court Tours
Small group tours to Britain, Ireland, Central Europe and Scandinavia
James Court Tours is a small company that was formed in 1999 to conduct specialized, small group tours to Europe. The tours are generally of approximately four weeks duration and group sizes usually range between eight and the maximum of twenty. All tours are led by Trevor Wickham, the company’s founder, who has past experience as a teacher of geography and history.
Features of all tours are the many multiple night stops [one night stops are few and far between] and a somewhat easier pace with about half the days on tour featuring a 9.00 or even later start.
Only one tour remains available this year, Central Europe by Train, departing on September 28th. Earlier tours to Britain and Ireland have been booked out for months. Tours in 2011 include New Zealand Highlights [February], The Other Side of Britain in May, Scandinavia & the Baltic [June] and Central Europe by Train [September].

O's Round Trips is an owner-operated tour venture offering personalised tours of Japan. The proprietor, Owen Smith, returned from Japan in 2006 after nearly 15 years as a teacher and student exchange co-ordinator in Kyoto. Owen centres his tours around this ancient city, considered by many to be, after more than 1000 years its capital, the cultural and spiritual soul of Japan. Tours cover ancient and ultra-modern Japan, including World Heritage Shinto Shrines and Buddhist temples, festivals, the arts, traditional and "new" cuisine, Geisha, fashions, markets, modern street culture, technology, shopping and fashion in Kyoto, Tokyo and selected venues around the country. Owen speaks Japanese well and has travelled Japan extensively. Tour groups are generally kept to about ten members.
